🌟 Staff Spotlight: Tia Perry
Overnight Monitor | Music, Lego & Reading Enthusiast | Proud Mom of Four
We are delighted to highlight Tia Perry, an Overnight Monitor who has been part of the Charles Lea Center team in Wilmington, NC, for the past year and a half. Though her work happens while most of us are fast asleep, Tia plays an essential role in ensuring the safety, comfort, and independence of the individuals we support.
Tia joined CLC with a strong belief in our mission and a deep appreciation for the resources and care we provide.
“I wanted to work with CLC because I believe in the mission and loved seeing the resources the company brings to assist all of our individuals. And the shift I work truly works with my family’s schedule,” she shared.
In her role, Tia:
Monitors the overnight safety of six individuals
Oversees medical devices and administers morning medications
Assists with morning routines to help each day start smoothly
Tia brings a rich background in caregiving, having worked as a CNA in facilities, in-home care, and Hospice. She has supported individuals through The Arc and Skills of Central PA, worked in adult day programs and group homes, and cross-trained in Medical Assisting. Her experience even includes time at UPMC Urgent Care. She also holds an Associate’s Degree, underscoring her dedication to the field.
At home, Tia is a devoted wife and mother to four children—ages 16, 13, 12, and 5. Her overnight schedule allows her to balance meaningful work with being present for her family, her top priority. In her spare time, she enjoys listening to music, building with Legos, and getting lost in a good book.
We are grateful for Tia’s compassion, commitment, and the steady support she provides every night. Her efforts may take place behind the scenes, but her impact is felt across every morning and throughout our entire community.
Thank you, Tia, for the heart you bring to the Charles Lea Center. 🌟
